Toxic NYC Women’s Black Raw Edge Wide Leg Sweatpants

The Toxic NYC Women’s Black Raw Edge Wide Leg Sweatpants are cut for the baggy look: a high rise at the waist, then two very wide, straight legs that fall loose all the way to the floor. They move when you walk and stack a little over your sneakers, the way wide leg pants should.

The detail that sets them apart is the raw edge. The top of the waistband is left unfinished, so it curls into a soft frayed ruffle above the elastic, and the hems are cut raw too, so they fray a little more with every wash. It gives a plain black pair the worn-in, deconstructed feel you usually only get from vintage.

The fabric is a thick 350 GSM (10.3 oz) knit, 88% cotton and 12% polyester. It has real weight, so the legs hang straight instead of clinging, and it is warm enough for cold days in the city. The waist is a wide elastic band with a black drawstring, and there are two side pockets.

There is no graphic on these pants. The branding is the TOXIC woven clothing label plus the TOXIC hang tag, so they go with any printed top in your wardrobe. Limited edition.

Sizes run S–2XL in a women’s fit. Our model is 5’8″ (172 cm), 121 lbs (55 kg) and wears a size S, which gives the long, floor-length leg in the photos. If you are shorter, the hem will pool more over your shoes; size up only if you want a lower, looser waist. Waist and hip are measured flat, so double them for the full measurement.

Measurements are taken flat. Actual measurements may vary by 1–3 cm (0.4–1.2 in).

Care

Machine wash cold (30°C) inside out with dark colours. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. The raw edges will soften and fray slightly over time; trim any long loose threads with scissors instead of pulling them. Do not dry clean.
