The Toxic NYC TOXIC New York Washed Red Sweatpants put the name on the leg, the way old varsity sweats did. A tall cracked slab-serif “TOXIC” runs up the front of the right thigh, and “NEW YORK” runs up the left shin in the same letters, both printed in a warm bone white. The two words sit on opposite legs, so the pants read from the waist down when you walk.

The color is a washed red: a faded, slightly mottled red from a vintage garment wash, so the pants look worn in from the first day and no two pairs are exactly alike. The bone print has a fine cracked texture that fits that old-gym look.

The fabric is a heavyweight 420 GSM (12.4 oz) cotton fleece, 100% cotton, thick and warm for cold New York days. The cut is a relaxed straight wide leg, roomy through the hip and thigh and the same width down to an open hem that stacks a little on your sneakers. The waist is an elastic band with a matching red drawstring, and there are two side seam pockets.

Care

Machine wash cold (30°C) inside out with similar colors. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Do not iron directly on the print. Do not dry clean. Washed garments can release a little color in the first washes, so wash them separately at first.
