The Toxic NYC Liberty Curse Plum Sunfade Distressed Sweatshirt takes our best-known graphic and puts it on a washed-out plum crewneck. On the chest, the Statue of Liberty stands in a gas mask between two New York subway rats, drawn like an old banknote engraving in smoke white, with our yellow “Toxic” script cutting across the middle. Under it, a small star badge and fine print read “©2026 Contaminated by Toxic NYC Worldwide, Hazardous Materials Department Based in N.Y.C.”

The print is 28 cm (11 in) wide and sits high on the chest, just under the ribbed crew collar. The back and sleeves stay clean so the sun-faded colour does the talking. Every sweatshirt is printed to order and ships with the TOXIC woven neck label and hang tag.

The body is a midweight 275 GSM (8.1 oz) 100% cotton terry with a sunfade dye: the shoulders and upper chest are faded to a dusty mauve, and the colour deepens to dark plum toward the hem, like a sweatshirt that spent a few summers on a fire escape. Raw, frayed edges on the shoulder seams, cuffs and hem and a few small distressed nicks near the hem finish the worn-in look. The fade and the distressing vary a little from piece to piece, so no two are exactly alike.

The cut is oversized and long, with dropped shoulders, a ribbed crew neck and ribbed cuffs that bunch at the wrist. Sizes run S–2XL and are unisex. Take your usual size for the relaxed fit shown on our models (he is 6’1″ and wears L, she is 5’8″ and wears S), or size down for a closer fit. Length: Measure from where the shoulder seam meets the collar to the hem. Shoulder: Measure from where the shoulder seam meets the sleeve on one side to another side. Chest: Measure from the stitches below the armpits on one side to another. Sleeve length: Measure from where the shoulder seam meets armhole to the cuff. Sizing differences of 1-3 cm (0.4-1.2″) may occur.

The sunfade colour may soften a little more over the first washes, which is part of the look.
