Toxic NYC Black Piping Barrel Leg Sweatpants

The Toxic NYC Black Piping Barrel Leg Sweatpants take the barrel cut and give it one sharp detail: a thin white piping line on each leg. It starts at the side pocket, runs down the outside of the thigh and then sweeps forward across the shin to the inner hem, so the line follows the curve of the leg instead of a straight track stripe. On the back, a second arc of piping runs across the seat from hip to hip. On solid black fleece it reads clean from across the street.

The shape is the barrel leg that streetwear has made its own. The legs are cut loose through the hip, bow outward through the thigh and knee, then come back in toward a straight hem, so the pants hold a rounded silhouette when you stand and move. They are full length and rest on top of your sneakers.

The fabric is a thick 345 GSM (10.2 oz) knit, 53% polyester, 42% cotton and 5% other fibres, with a soft brushed fleece inside. It is warm enough for winter in the city and keeps its shape after washing. The waist is a covered elastic band with a black drawstring, and there are two slash pockets at the sides.

There is no graphic on these pants. The branding is the TOXIC woven clothing label plus the TOXIC hang tag, so the piping does the talking and any printed top works with them. Every pair is made to order for you.

Sizes run S–2XL and are unisex. Take your usual size for the relaxed barrel fit our models show (he is 6’1″ and wears L, she is 5’8″ and wears S). Size up for a deeper curve, or down for a slightly neater leg. Waist and hip are measured flat, so compare them with a pair of sweatpants you already own.

Care

Machine wash cold (30°C) inside out with dark colours. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low or hang to dry, and do not iron directly on the piping. Do not dry clean.
