Toxic NYC Mineral Wash Navy Balloon Sweatpants

The Toxic NYC Mineral Wash Navy Balloon Sweatpants are built around one thing: the shape. The legs are cut wide and full through the hip, thigh and knee, then ease in slightly toward a clean open hem, so the pants hang in a soft curve instead of a straight tube. It is the relaxed, roomy silhouette that has taken over streetwear, in a colour that goes with almost everything in your closet.

The colour is a washed navy with a slate edge. Each pair is mineral washed after it is sewn, which softens the cotton and leaves a light, uneven fade along the seams, pockets and waistband. No two pairs fade in exactly the same way, and the colour keeps getting a little more lived-in with every wash.

The fabric is a thick 350 GSM (10.3 oz) cotton fleece, 85% cotton and 15% polyester, heavy enough to hold the balloon shape and warm enough for cold New York mornings. The waistband is a wide covered elastic with no drawstring, there are two slanted side pockets and one patch pocket on the back, and the hem is left plain with no cuff or ankle elastic, so the leg falls over your sneakers.

There is no graphic on these pants. The branding is the TOXIC woven clothing label inside plus the TOXIC hang tag, which makes them an easy base for printed tops. Every pair is made to order for you.

Sizes run S–2XL and are unisex. Take your usual size for the loose balloon fit on our models (he is 6’1″ and wears L, she is 5’8″ and wears S). If you are between sizes, size up for more volume or down for a neater leg. The waist and hip are measured flat, so compare them with a pair of sweatpants you already own.

Measurements are taken flat. Actual measurements may vary by 1–3 cm (0.4–1.2 in).

Care

Machine wash cold (30°C) inside out with dark colours. The mineral wash can release a little colour in the first washes, so wash them separately at first. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low or hang to dry. Do not dry clean.
