Toxic NYC Deli & Grocery Navy Heavyweight Crewneck Sweatshirt

The Toxic NYC Deli & Grocery Navy Heavyweight Crewneck Sweatshirt is a love letter to the corner store. Every New York block has one: a yellow sign over the door, a striped awning, a neon OPEN light that never goes off and a cat that runs the place. We turned that bodega front into a chest graphic and printed it on the thickest crewneck we carry.

The print is a new Toxic NYC design. A hazard-yellow sign reads “TOXIC DELI & GROCERY” in tall black letters, with a white bodega cat sitting on top of it and watching you with yellow eyes. Under the sign hangs a yellow and white scalloped awning, then a yellow neon-style “OPEN 24/7” sign, a window-sticker line of “HOT COFFEE ★ HEROES ★ LOTTO ★ ATM”, our yellow “Corner of Your Bad Habits” script and the small print “NEW YORK, N.Y. · NO CREDIT UNDER $5”. It is 26 cm (10.2 in) wide, centred high on the chest. The back and sleeves stay plain navy. Every sweatshirt is printed to order and ships with the TOXIC woven neck label and hang tag.

The blank is a true winter weight: 500 GSM (14.7 oz) fleece, with a 65% cotton / 35% polyester outer face and a soft, plush 100% polyester fleece inside that feels closer to a light jacket than a regular sweatshirt. It holds its shape, keeps the print flat and doesn’t go thin after a few washes. The ribbed crew collar, ribbed cuffs and wide ribbed hem band keep the cold out at the neck, the wrists and the waist.

The fit is regular and a little relaxed, with dropped shoulders and a hem that lands at the hip. Sizes run S–2XL and are unisex. Take your usual size for the fit shown on our models (he is 6’1″ and wears L, she is 5’8″ and wears S), or size up for a roomier, oversized look. Navy and yellow is an easy pair. Wear it with black barrel leg jeans like our models, with light-wash baggy jeans or grey sweats, and top it with a black beanie on cold days. Size Guide

Length: measure from where the shoulder seam meets the collar to the hem. Shoulder: measure from where the shoulder seam meets the sleeve on one side to the other side. Chest: measure straight across from the stitches below one armpit to the other, with the sweatshirt laid flat. Sleeve length: measure from where the shoulder seam meets the sleeve to the cuff. Allow 1–3 cm (0.4–1.2″) of difference between pieces.

Care Instructions

Turn the sweatshirt inside out and machine wash cold with similar colours. Don’t bleach. Tumble dry low or hang dry. Don’t iron directly on the print, and don’t dry clean.
